Walmart awards thousands to Wichita charities

Thousands of dollars went to Wichita area organizations dedicated to hunger relief and workforce development.

The money was award by Walmart through its Kansas State Giving Program. Organizations who received funding included Dress for Success, Kansas Schools for Effective Learning and Goodwill. 

Senator Jerry Moran spoke during the presentation, thanking Walmart for their contribution. Moran also focused on the dedication put forth by local groups to support their communities.
