Man calls 911 threatening to kill police with pocket knife
A 20-year-old man threatened to kill any Wichita police officer that approached him at the Pawnee and Broadway Walmart.
Wichita police Sgt. Bruce Watts said the suspect called 911 around 4 a.m. Saturday from inside the WalMart. The suspect told dispatchers he was armed with a knife.
"Four officers approached him inside the Wal-Mart. They saw the suspect had a pocket knife in his right hand. The suspect flipped out the blade and began to move quickly toward officers," Watts said.
The man was tased multiple times, and was arrested on four counts of aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer.
No officers were hurt in the incident.
