Being banned from most Walmarts in town for shoplifting didn't stop a man from trying to steal more.

The suspect ran from the west Kellogg Walmart with $14.30 worth of items, but didn't make it far. An employee shouted "rob" as the man fled the store.

A Vietnam veteran heard the call, and tackled the shoplifter into a snow bank. A taxi driver saw what was going on and helped out by spraying mace on the thief. A nearby retired game warden happened to have some handcuffs and cuffed him until police arrived.

The shoplifter is in jail on charges of felony theft, aggravated burglary and simple battery against two employees.
