House fire sends family into rain
An attic fire around 10:20 p.m. Monday sent a woman and three children running out into the rain.
Everyone made it out safely, and crews were quickly on scene at the intersection of Broadway and Clark, in southwest Wichita.
Wichita Fire Department Battalion Chief Ernie Schuler said crews arrived to smoke and flames. Schuler said most of the fire was in the home's attic. Damage was estimated at $40,000.
Fire investigators are working to find the cause of the fire.
