Temperatures are looking mild this weekend, and the Kansas Department of Wildlife Park and Tourism has a great way to spend a day outdoors.

All state parks in Kansas are hosting open houses free of charge on Saturday. Most parks will offer free lunches and family activities. Tours of cabins will also be available. Cabin reservations can be made in case sleeping on the ground isn't your style.

Annual camping permits will also be available for purchase at a lower than normal rate, as well as annual vehicle passes.
