Yellow box truck may be tied to recent burglaries
The Sedgwick County sheriff's office is asking citizens to keep their eyes open for a yellow box truck that is believed to be involved in a series of burglaries in rural areas.
The truck is the type that is commonly rented by companies like Ryder or U-Haul. There was no word about any specific markings of the vehicle.
Sheriff's Capt. Greg Pollock says the truck may turn up anywhere.
"I don't have one particular area," Pollock said. "It has been spotted in several parts."
Anyone who sees a suspicious vehicle in their neighborhod, especially a yellow box truck, should call 911 to have it checked out.
