Wichita Festivals hires Hartke as event director
Wichita Festivals, Inc. hired Adam Hartke to take over as director of events. Hartke is a Wichita native.
"The addition of Adam completes our staff for 2013 as we move forward to re-energize the spirit of Riverfest and establish Autumn and Art as the premiere art show and sale in the region," said Mary Beth Jarvis, president and CEO of Wichita Festivals.
Hartke previously held roles as executive director of the Newton Fox Performing Arts Center and as director of programming, operations and promotions at the Orpheum Theatre in Wichita.
"As a life-long Riverfest fan and attendee, it is exciting to work alongside the thousands of dedicated volunteers to provide an engaging and entertaining festival that everyone in the community can enjoy," Hartke said.
Riverfest runs from May 31 to June 8.
