One person seriously injured in pair of gang fights
Wichita police think two separate fights between gangs are related.
The first fight happened around midnight in the parking lot of McAdams Park at 13th and I-135. Police Sgt. Bruce Watts says several gunshots were also fired, but no one was struck.
Another fight happened an hour later in the 1400 block of North Bluff. There, a 17-year-old was rushed to Wesley Medical Center after being hit multiple times. Gunshots were fired, but nobody was struck by the bullets.
Watts says the people involved range in age from 15 to 18 years old. Police are still looking for who may be involved.
