Sedgwick County Sheriff's deputy shot in police chase in Butler County
A Sedgwick County Sheriff's deputy was shot by suspects fleeing from a police chase in Butler County.
Scanner traffic from Sedgwick County reported a deputy was shot near the 8700 block of NW 70th, southeast of the city of Potwin, around 6:30 p.m. The officer was responsive to questions from dispatchers.
Two suspects tried to flee police through nearby fields. A white male suspect was shot, and was transported to a hospital with serious injuries. A female suspect was also taken into custody.
