Custodian injured in fight at Wichita school
A school custodian went to the hospital and two students were arrested after a lunchtime fight Wednesday at a Wichita school.
The fight broke out between two teenage boys at Truesdell Middle School. Police said the boys punched and kicked the custodian when he tried to stop them.
Our news partners at KWCH Channel 12 report the custodian was taken to a hospital with a split lip and abrasions on his head. Police took the boys into custody when the custodian decided to press charges, and the boys were taken to the juvenile detention center. Wichita school district officials are planning a disciplinary hearing, and the boys could be expelled.
The school sent a letter home with students to explain what happened.
