Motel manager beaten after giving woman refund
A south Wichita motel owner was beat up after he gave a refund to a woman who claimed there was hidden cameras in her hotel room.
It happened at the Pawnee Inn near Pawnee and Broadway around 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
When the woman received her refund, she checked out of the motel, and then came back with two men. The two men forced their way into the office area.
"They were shouting racial, derogatory terms, claiming they were real Americans and began to beat on the male," Wichita Police Lt. Joe Schroeder said.
The motel owner was not seriously injured.
The two men took off after the beating. Meanwhile, the woman was arrested and taken to jail on an unrelated charge.
