Defective tag light instigates police chase
Two men, driving a vehicle with a defective tag light, led Wichita Police on a late night pursuit.
The pursuit started near 13th St. N. and Hydraulic around 11 p.m. Friday with a traffic stop.
"Once the officers got the vehicle stopped, the officers approached the vehicle and it took off," says Sgt. Bruce Watts.
The chase was called off near 9th and Volutsia.
A short time later, the men were spotted parking the vehicle near the Wichita Children's Home at 8th and Holyoke and getting out with a shotgun.
One man was caught, while the other remains on the loose.
