Wichita and Sedgwick County firefighters were kept busy over the weekend.

A neighbor spotted smoke and called 911 after seeing an orange glow from a house. Wichita and Sedgwick County firefighters responded near 127th East and Kellogg to a house fire early Sunday morning.

The cause of the fire is not yet known. Damage was estimated at $100,000.

Crews sent to check for smoke found a duplex fire Sunday night in the 4400 block of East Bayley. Battalion Chief Kim Anderson said four people were evacuated from a duplex.

Investigators said the oven was used to heat the apartment, and sparked a grease pot fire that left $10,000 damage.
