A would-be robber in north Wichita left the scene after a woman told the suspect all she had was a debit card.

A man came up from behind the 18-year-old woman, grabbed her and spun her around early Tuesday morning in the 2200 block of North Kansas.

"He indicated that he had a gun in his pocket and that she needed to give all of her property and money to him," said Wichita Police Lt. Doug Nolte.

The woman told the robber she only had a debit card, but could get more property in her home.

"When she got up to the door, she stated that the suspect then ran off on foot," Nolte said.

The suspect is described as about 6-feet-2-inches tall and 180 pounds.
