Boys attacked and robbed by teenagers
Wichita police are asking for help in catching two teenage robbers.
The boys confronted two younger boys and demanded they give up a bicycle and a scooter at Aley Park in the 1800 block of South Seneca. When a 14-year-old boy resisted, he was knocked down, beaten and kicked.
"The 12-year-old who was on the scooter tried to ride away," said Police Lt. Doug Nolte. "In the process, he wrecked the scooter and hurt his wrist."
The push scooter is non-motorized.
The incident was reported around 6:35 p.m. Tuesday. The robbers left with the older boy's 20-inch black Mongoose bicycle. The boy who was beaten up was taken to a hospital to be checked out for dizziness.
