Claflin man accidently shoots self in Kingman County
A Claflin man accidently shot himself in the leg while sitting in his pickup truck.
Kingman County EMS and Sheriff's deputies were sent to the 2000 block of SE 50th Street, where they found the man just before 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Investigators said the man was removing a .45 caliber handgun from the console when it went off, striking him in the left leg. The gun was owned by the victim.
The man was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis, where he's listed in stable condition. The incident is being investigated by the Kingman Sheriff's Office.
