Body of missing Rose Hill woman found near Kansas-Oklahoma border

MULVANE, Kan. - FRIDAY MORNING UPDATE

A woman from Rose Hill who had been missing has been found dead near the Kansas-Oklahoma border.

The Sumner County Sheriff's Office said dogs helped officers find 86-year-old Dixie Adair's body about 200 feet from where officers found her car near Hunnewell. 

An aircraft spotted Adair's Toyota Camry on a dirt road Thursday, report our news partners at KWCH. Sumner County Sheriff's Capt. Mike Westmoreland said Adair may have left her car after it became stuck in mud.

Adair had last been seen leaving a casino in Mulvane around 10:30 Monday morning, according to information on a Silver Alert from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation. 

The KBI thanked the public for sharing Adair's information in a post to Facebook and asked everyone to keep Adair's family in their prayers.

A woman from Rose Hill last seen in Mulvane is still missing, and a Silver Alert continues to be in effect.

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the Butler County Sheriff's Office are asking for your help finding 86-year-old Dixie Adair. She was last seen leaving the Kansas Star Casino on Monday, Oct. 9, and staff said she did nto take her luggage.

The KBI stated Adair may be disoriented, and she may be driving a white, 2011, four-door Toyota Camry with a Kansas disabled tag 88398.

Adair is described as a white woman, 5 ft. 4 in. tall, 180 lbs, with blue eyes, blonde hair, and a fair complexion.
