Police are investigating a shooting that was reported in a south Wichita neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
Police officer Kevin Wheeler said officers were called to the 1500 block of South Pinecrest around 3:20 p.m. and a short time later a 17-year-old boy was found at a hospital with a gunshot wound to the foot.
The circumstances of the shooting are not known, but Wheeler said several shots were fired during a disturbance in an alley. No arrests have been made and there was no immediate information on any suspects.
