One of the biggest issues that will be undertaken by the Wichita City Council in the new year will deal with the future of trash disposal in the city. City Manager Robert Layton has proposed a cooperative involving all 22 trash haulers currently serving Wichita. The goal, Layton says, is to reduce trash disposal costs. This week's At Issue, hosted by KFDI's George Lawson, features discussion from a November city council workshop, where Layton explained his proposal.
