Former University of Oklahoma and NFL Lion's running back, Billy Sims, was the guest speaker for the Wendy's High School Heisman candidates luncheon at Wichita State University.
Students from Wichita and surrounding communities were nominated for their academic and on field performance. There were three $500 scholarships awarded to area high schools and two autographed footballs awarded to students from a random drawing Tuesday afternoon at the Rhatigan Student Center.
