Michelle and I made our way to the 2nd Annual "Shaker Full Of Wishes". this is a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish foundation. Last year they had about 200 in attendance...this year was almost 350. Waiting for final numbers, but I think it was a HUGE success.
The bigger story of the night was the hole in the crotch of my suit pants. The venue was crowded and I couldn't get to side of stage to use the stairs to go up on stage for my next bit of business. So, I decided I would just hop up the front of stage. BIG MISTAKE. Half way up I heard and felt 'the rip'. At this point there are 2 things that concerned me. 1. Remember that performance of Blake Shelton and Ashley Monroe a few years ago. Where Ashley's dress was WAAAAY too short and as she got to the edge of the stage, as a viewer I had great concerns about the camera angle showing MUCH MORE of Ashley than I think the FCC was comfortable with. Well, that's the angle I was at. The stage had me about 2 to 3 feet above the people seated at the tables in front. SECONDLY, again, referencing Blake Shelton. Today, was "Wear Red Day" for the American Heart Association. I had worn A LOT of red including my red Blake Shelton Gildan underwear. So as you can imagine, not only was I concerned that people could see my dilemma, but that it looked like something akin to Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer.....however, that's not a nose!! Thankfully, I think I escaped without anyone noticing OR they were just too polite to say anything.
Anything like this ever happen to you?
