The Kansas Aviation Museum inducted Brian Barents into the Hall of Fame and awarded Marvin Autry the 2018 Governor’s Aviation Honor Award, Saturday night at the Kansas Aviation Honor Awards Gala.

Barents was the former CEO and President of Learjet and Aerion Corporation. He also served 34 years in the U.S. Air-Force and retired as a Brigadier General of the Kansas Air National Guard.

Autry pioneered a fixed-wing air ambulance program that was instrumental in saving hundreds of lives, including many premature babies, back in 1974. It was the first program of its kind.
