Topeka teenager found safe after Amber Alert

UPDATE:  Shawnee County officials now say Shaquan Mitchell has been found unhurt, and officials have been talking to one of the suspected gunmen who took him from a Topeka home.  19-year-old Trevon Williams is in police custody, and the Amber Alert has been canceled.

Kansas officials have issued an Amber Alert for a Topeka teenager who was taken at gunpoint from a home early Thursday.

16-year-old Shaquan Mitchell is six feet tall and 175 pounds, and he was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.

Police said two men armed with handguns went into a home at 1175 SW Woodhull and took the teen away.  One of the suspects was identified as 19-year-old Trevon Williams, who is 6 feet 3 inches tall, wearing all black clothing.  He tried to conceal his face with a blue bandanna.

No information was available on a vehicle.
