A man and woman found their stolen pickup at a south Wichita laundromat, but the truck sped away and the woman ended up with a minor leg injury.
Police said a red 2009 Chevy Silverado pickup was stolen Wednesday morning, and the owners later found out that it may be at a laundromat in the 900 block of South Seneca. The 30-year-old man and 31-year-old woman went to the laundromat and confronted the driver, who sped away. The man fired several shots and the woman hung on to the driver’s side door, but she was hurt when she was dragged into a street sign.
Police are still looking for the pickup and the driver. Anyone with information is urged to call Wichita police detectives at 268-4407 or Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.
