Former Dallas Cowboys running back and Wichita native Joseph Randle has been found competent to stand trial on allegations of sexual assault.

Randle was arrested in September by Wichita Police at a northeast Wichita apartment complex.  He’s being held at the Sedgwick County Jail on numerous charges that include multiple counts of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy, aggravated assault, and kidnapping.

At the time of the alleged crimes, Randle was on probation in a separate case.  A judge ruled Tuesday morning that Randle is competent to stand trial.

His next hearing is scheduled for February 12.
