You may love putting Christmas lights up on your house every year. If you do, JJ and Tiny’s Christmas Light Fight is currently in Week 2 of taking submissions. If you want to send in YOUR light display and possibly will $250 towards your Westar bill, go — > here But would you be willing to pay tens of thousands of dollars to keep your display up?

There’s a guy named Tom Apruzzi in Old Bridge, New Jersey, and for the past 15 years, he and his family have put up EPIC Christmas decorations.  They’re so spectacular that they draw hundreds of tourists.

The thing is, his neighbors HATE THEM. They say the number of people that come clog up traffic and in case of an emergency, an ambulance could not make it down the street.

Well this year the city is fighting back against the Abruzzi’s. They are fining them $3,000 EVERY NIGHT they have the light display going. The city says it is to cover the cost of extra police and shuttles to and from the neighborhood.

But Tom is planning to keep doing his light shows this year, starting tomorrow . . . and FIGHT THE POWER. Quote, “If they shut me down, they’re going to have to talk to my attorney.  This is my First Amendment right.  Free speech and free religion.”
