Already-lowered flags to be observed at half-staff Friday for Pearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day takes place Friday, December 7.
While flags are already lowered to half-staff through the end of December in honor of former President George H.W. Bush, Kansas Governor Jeff Colyer’s office sent a reminder to recognize the position of the flag on the 7th.
“This is a day to honor and remember those who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor,” Colyer stated. “We thank all of those who have served our nation and continue to serve to protect our nation.”
Flags should continue to remain lowered from sunrise to sunset December 7th for Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day and remain at half-staff at sunrise December 8, 2018 until sunset December 30, 2018 continuing the previous order for the passing of former president George H.W. Bush.
