The Greenwood County sheriff’s office said Wednesday it has had a number of requests for a place to send donations to the special needs teenager who was found abandoned at a rest area in November.

The 17-year-old boy was found at the Beaumont rest area on Highway 400 on November 29th.  His grandmother has now been arrested in Oklahoma on child endangerment charges.

The sheriff’s office said donations can be sent or delivered to Flinthills Services, Inc, 505 Walnut Valley Drive, El Dorado, Kansas 67042.    The items should be marked with the designation, Greenwood County Juvenile.

Items that are needed include large or extra-large shirts, pants size 38 by 34, a pillow, twin size bedding, a winter coat, hat and gloves, underwear and socks, shoes sized 10 and a half, a small radio, and an iPad or a tablet.
