One person was injured in a house fire Wednesday evening in north Wichita.
It happened shortly before 6 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Perry. When firefighters arrived at the scene they found smoke coming from the home and a fire burning in the kitchen.
One person inside of the home was transported to the hospital with potentially critical injuries from smoke inhalation. Four dogs are reported missing from the home. The fire was confined to the kitchen, but there was smoke damage throughout the home.
The cause is still under investigation.
