Wichita Police and Union Rescue Mission have partnered again to provide Christmas dinner to families in need in the community.
Each Thanksgiving and Christmas, Police officers identify families on their patrol beats who may need some extra help that year with their holiday meals. Then men who are transitioning out of homelessness at Union Rescue Mission, help prepare boxes of food for holiday meals for those families identified by the officers.
The men from Union Rescue Mission and Wichita Police then deliver those boxes of food to those families. The Christmas delivery will take place Wednesday.
