YMCA hits fundraising goal for WSU location

The Greater Wichita YMCA announced they hit their $13.5-million dollar fundraising goal for a new location on the Wichita State Innovation Campus.

The new Y is scheduled to be open by January of 2020, and will be in a building that houses the student wellness and counseling center and a Wesley Urgent Care center.

“It’s a great day for all involved – the community, Wichita State, WSU students and the Y,” commented YMCA President and CEO Ronn McMahon. “We not only wrapped up our largest-ever fundraising effort, but also get to celebrate the amazing work of one of our greatest supporters.”

The new YMCA will be named after Steve Clark, who has been supporting and volunteering with the Y since the 1970’s.  Clark has been on the Board of Directors since 1994.
