Teen arrested in connection to fatal robbery

Wichita police arrested a 17-year-old in connection to Friday’s fatal robbery, where a suspect was killed.

The 17-year-old has been booked into juvenile detention on three counts of robbery. Police say he was involved in the robbery of a Family Dollar, around noon Friday, at Lincoln and Woodlawn. An employee reported three people came into the store, pointed guns, and demanded money. The suspects left with cash and cigarettes.

Police believe this teen was also involved in the robbery of the B & H Fast Trip, at 27th South and Seneca. Four people with guns reportedly entered the store around 2:45 Friday afternoon, and took cash and cigarettes. A customer with a gun fired at the suspects and fatally shot a 16-year-old.

The two remaining suspects have not been found yet, but police say they know who they’re looking for.

Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call police at 268-4407, or Crime Stoppers, at 267-2111.
