One injured in South Wichita Shooting

A woman who was shot twice in south Wichita, Wednesday night, is already out of the hospital and is expected to be OK.

Officers were called to a home in the 3100 block of South Davidson, near 31st South and I-35, around 9:40 p.m. A 35-year-old woman was found with two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Investigators also found multiple shell casings in the area, and a home that was hit several times.

Police say they believe a someone fired multiple shots a home, hitting the woman, who was outside at the time of the shooting. Officials don’t believe this was random, and investigators are looking for a person of interest.
