The Wichita State Shockers men’s basketball team lose on the road Thursday night to Memphis 74-85 in their American Athletic Conference opening game.
Markis McDuffie led the Shockers with 19 points and Samaje Haynes-Jones followed close behind with 15. Turnovers and foul trouble would eventually hurt the Shockers down the stretch.
Wichita State goes to 7-6 on the season. They head home to host Temple on Sunday at Charles Koch Arena.
