Sedgwick County officials have identified the two men who were killed last weekend when their car crashed at an entrance to McConnell Air Force Base.
The victims were identified as 17-year-old Isaiah Chandler and 29-year-old Matthew Pyles. They were found in a burning car late Sunday night at the base’s 31st Street secondary access point. The two men were not connected to the base.
McConnell officials, Wichita police and Sedgwick County investigators are still looking into the fatal crash. A preliminary investigation shows that the vehicle hit a barrier at the base entrance at a high rate of speed and then caught fire.
