A Triple-A baseball team that is moving to Wichita is now asking for ideas on its new name.
The New Orleans Baby Cakes, an affiliate of the Miami Marlins, will be relocating to Wichita as the city builds a new sports stadium complex in the Delano neighborhood. The team is asking fans for suggestions on what their new name should be.
Suggestions can be submitted through Monday, January 21st. Suggestions can be made through the web site milb.com under “Wichita Name The Team.” More updates will be provided on Facebook and Instagram@WichitaBaseball2020 and on Twitter @WichitaBaseball
