A state House member is pushing to end Daylight Saving Time in Kansas.
Representative Kristey Williams from Augusta has drafted a bill to keep Kansas in Central Standard Time year-round. She said studies show lost productivity across the country with each Spring Forward and Fall Back, KWCH reports.
“I thought it might be time for us to take a look at it because of health reasons and costs reasons to move to not switching back and forth,” Williams said.
Similar bills have been introduced before and fallen flat. Lawmakers may consider this bill after they return to the Statehouse on Monday.
