Wichita State announces Klose Scholarship winners

Five high school seniors have been awarded the Doris and Ralph Klose Endowed Scholarship at Wichita State University.   They plan to major in math or science education at WSU, and they will each receive up to $20,000 in merit and Klose Scholarships when they enter the teacher education program in their junior year.

The winners are Juan Aguilar of Garden City High School, Megan Altgilbers of Wichita Northwest High School, Lailani Lemus of Wichita Northwest, Elizabeth Pierce of Valley Center High School, and Sarah Rogers of Mingo Valley Christian School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The scholarship is funded by a gift of $7.5 million to fund undergrad scholarships in math and science education. The gift was donated by the estate of WSU alumni Doris and Ralph Klose.
