The Kansas International Dragway has new owners, and they have numerous improvements planned before the 2019 race season.
The primary owner chose to step down, and his partner, David Dockens brought in two other investors, Donald ‘JR’ Sandlian and Jason Caldwell to purchase the track.
They plan on keeping a majority of the Dragway’s staff and will focus on growing their sportsman racing program, while keeping several events, such Horepower on the Plains, Wichita Street Fights and the Summer Nationals.
The Dragway also plans on adding several new events and expanding on their Midnight Drags heads up program.
Opening day is set for March 23.
