Kansans asked to take survey on drone use

The Kansas Department of Transportation’s is asking for public opinion on the use of drones across the state.

The KDOT Division of Aviation put a short survey together to see how people feel about drones being used in various fields, such as agriculture and law enforcement. The survey is available here, and people of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to participate.

Kansas is currently focused on using drones for things like inspecting long sections of highway and railroads, and for agricultural use.

KDOT is currently one of 10 national groups conducting advanced drone operations to guide future regulations. More information on the state’s role in drone use can be found here.
