Friday, Feb. 8 is the last day families in Wichita can get help signing up for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program.
The LIEAP is a federally-funded program that helps families who might need help paying their electric or gas bill. Through the program, eligible households will get a one-time per year benefit to help pay for energy costs.
The deadline to sign up is March 29th, but Feb. 8 is the last day you can get help with the signup process from Westar Energy. You can head to His Helping Hands from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday to find out more. That’s at 1441 E 37th St N in north Wichita.
