Joseph Randle ordered to stand trial on rape, kidnapping charges

Former NFL running back Joseph Randle has been ordered to stand trial on charges from an incident last fall in northeast Wichita.

Randle, 27, was charged with rape, kidnapping and battery for an incident in September of 2018 when a 28-year-old woman reported that she was sexually assaulted at an apartment near K-96 and Rock Road.   He was in court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing, and a judge ruled there is enough evidence to take the case to trial.   Another hearing has been scheduled for February 25th.

Randle has faced a number of legal problems since he was released by the Dallas Cowboys in 2015.   He was on probation at the time of his arrest last fall after convictions for a fight in the Sedgwick County jail in 2017, and interfering with law enforcement in 2016.
