A 47-year-old man is recovering after he was run over Thursday afternoon while confronting two porch thieves.
It happened around 3:45 p.m. in the 1800 block of North Woodrow. The man told police he returned home to see a car he didn’t recognize in front of a neighbor’s house and a man stealing a package containing a new television from his neighbor’s porch.
When he went to confront the thieves, he was struck and run over by the driver of the car. He was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The car left southbound on Woodrow an hasn’t been located. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a black, 4-door hatchback car with black wheels.
The first suspect was described as a white male with black hair and a beard. The second suspect was described as a white male who was wearing shorts.
