The Sedgwick County sheriff’s office will have a public viewing of the property that was recovered from a series of recent burglaries.

The property was found at a south Wichita storage unit after deputies received a tip from Sumner County investigators.  The property is from a number of burglaries that were reported late last year and early this year.

Victims of the burglaries and thefts are encouraged to attend the exhibition, and they can recover their property if they show proof of ownership.  That would include photos, receipts, serial numbers, or police reports.    Investigators from the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and the Wichita Police Department will be present to help the victims.

The exhibition will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, February 21st at a Sedgwick County building at 1015 West Stillwell.  That’s just south of the intersection of Kellogg and Seneca.  If burglary victims need to contact the Sheriff’s Office before that time, they can call 316-660-5318 and leave a detailed message including their assigned case number and a description of their property.

The Sheriff’s Office said it does not have an itemized inventory of all of the recovered property at this time, but investigators are working to have that ready for the public viewing.
