Another busy weekend in the ICT, here are somethings you should put on your radar.

SHAVE-A-COP

Victory in the Valley, Inc. is a local non-profit 501(c) (3) cancer support organization that helps the needs of cancer patients and their families in the Wichita area and across Kansas. This year, officers from the Patrol East Bureau are partnering with Victory in the Valley to help provide assistance to families battling cancer and seeking treatment. We are asking our wonderful community to participate in our “Shave a Cop, Help the Valley” event on February 22nd, 2019 from 6pm-9pm at LaVela. Stylists from Headcase Salon will be handing YOU the clippers, as donors can “Shave-a-Cop” with a donation. Children in attendance can meet some superheroes and enjoy some face painting.

A DAY FOR DOGS BENEFITING WAAL 

Come support the Wichita Animal Action League with an afternoon of spoiling your furry best friend! Dr. Koch will be offering chiropractic adjustments for your dog, Sugar Coated Bakery will have gourmet dog treats for sale and Limitless will host a donation based Doga class! Come spend some quality time with your four legged friend at Limitless Yoga Studio all while supporting a group that does so much to help Wichita animals in need!

A CALL TO MEN BREAKFAST 

ICT SOS will be hosting Ed Heisler, a specialist in violence prevention with the organization A Call To Men, for a community breakfast. The goal of the breakfast is to call men into the conversation of demanding an end to violence and exploitation of women and children. Itis in the Education Center of the Child Advocacy Center, will begin check-in and breakfast at 9:00 a.m. and end about 11:30 a.m. There is no cost to attend the event, and breakfast will be provided thanks to our friends at Chick Fil A, but a reservation is required as seating is limited

TRY HOCKEY FREE

Want to learn how to play hockey like the pros? This is your perfect opportunity to give it a try!

Try Hockey for Free is designed to provide kids a completely free experience to try youth hockey. Our top coaches will be on the ice to assist your child in learning the basics. No previous skating or hockey experience is required!

Register at: www.TryHockeyForFree.com and choose what time you’ll skate – Morning Session (9AM-10:30AM) or Afternoon Session (3:30-5PM). Equipment and space is limited, so register early!

Bring a bicycle helmet, sweatpants, and long socks – we’ll provide the hockey gear!

3RD ANNUAL GREAT CHEFS OF THE MIDWEST

The Great Chefs of the Midwest Gala and the National Kidney Foundation welcome those who are passionate about good food and raising money for a good cause. The top chefs from participating restaurants will sample dishes at this years event, including: Event Chair – Josh Rathbun, Executive Chef of Siena Tuscan Steakhouse, Los Compadres Mexican Grill, Elderslie Farm, 6S Steakhouse, Kansas Star Casino, Gabby’s Peruvian Restaurant & Catering, Newport Grill Wichita, Gaga’s Grub, District Taqueria, Hooray Ranch, and Pinole Blue and more to come!

This is Wichita’s chance to see the Academy Award®-nominated short subjects in animation, live action and documentary categories! This program attracts hundreds of film fans each year. Films are not rated and may not be suitable for all audiences.
