Does your teenager need Spring Break plans? If so, the United Way’s Youth Days of Caring has 1,000 volunteer positions on projects throughout the area. From March 11-15th, volunteer positions will be available across the region, including opportunities to remodel a home, make crafts with kids, work with animals, paint, or landscape. “Youth Days of Caring is an excellent way for students to improve their social skills while working with others and learning the value of volunteering for a community’s well being,” said United Way of the Plains President Patrick J. Hanrahan.

You can register online at www.unitedwayplains.org/springbreak. If you don’t have computer access, you can call United Way’s 24-hour information phone line at 2-1-1. Students can register for projects on a first-come, first-served basis and must be 12 to volunteer. Sign-up ends March 5th.
