Wichita police say a 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with an assault and gun theft that was featured on Crime Stoppers this week.
Detectives released surveillance video of a February 14th incident in the 800 block of North Chautauqua. A 31-year-old man reported that he was working on his car when someone sneaked up behind him and took his handgun from a holster. The suspect then pointed the gun at the victim, but no shots were fired and no one was hurt.
The teenage suspect was booked into the Juvenile Detention Facility for aggravated assault, theft, and possession of paraphernalia. Police said the gun has not been recovered.
