Voters have approved a bond issue for improvements in the Remington school district in Whitewater.   The results have been finalized in the USD 206 school district, which covers parts of Harvey, Butler and Sedgwick counties.

The bond issue had 561 yes votes and 547 no votes.  It will provide close to $10 million for a variety of improvements, including a music room and storm shelter at the elementary school, a media center and locker rooms at the middle school, and a new gym and new classroom at the Remington High School.

The bond issue will mean a property tax increase of around $4.00 to $7.50 a month for homeowners in the school district.
