The Wichita Police department is investigating a case in which a dog was shot after attacking an officer.
It happened Sunday night near 21st and Erie. Officers were finishing a call when they saw a dog on the loose. The officers attempted to let the dog pass but it attacked when an officer was getting into a vehicle.
‘The dog was taken to the emergency veterinary center for treatment.
