The Wichita Police Department says they don’t believe impaired driving was a factor in Saturday night’s pedestrian crash.
A man and woman were hit outside of the Shamrock Lounge, at Douglas and Vine. Police say this didn’t happen in a cross walk, and that the pedestrians crossed from between parked cars where they could not be seen.
Both people were taken to a hospital with injuries described as serious. As of Monday morning, police say the woman is out of the hospital. The man is still hospitalized, though his injuries are described as not life-threatening.
